Why a dodge? - Page 2

I have two dodges, and my husband has a ford, but what you heard was just a guy blowing smoke. All of the vehicles out there appeal to different people for different reasons; it can be as minor as looks that put someone over the edge towards one of the other.

My personal vehicle is a 2005 Dodge 3/4 ton diesel truck. I use it hard, and could easily put a ton of feed in it. I often put half a ton in it. We pull a giant trailer with the Ford 3/4 ton (we each had our own before we met) and my work truck carries a zillion tools around. But what you might need in a vehicle is most likely different from what we need in a vehicle. Don't base your choices on someone's juvenile posturing.

My Dad has the Ford 150 truck, great truck to haul stuff around with. I used his truck to haul my miniatures from Geneseo to Decatur, a good three hour trip for me, alone....and a real work horse.

Never had the Dodge Ram so if the little Dakota is like the Rams, then they are good work horses too.

As for all the bells and whistles, find one that you like, MPG, the looks, comfort, ease of accessing, getting in and out of the truck, and the nice gadgets for your iPods, etc.

I like the Ford Escape, nice little SUV, both sis and mother has one. Perfect for them to get in and out and not as long as a van and higher level, instead of "hugging" the road while everyone else is looking down at you on the road. It gets a little unnerving at first but after a while you will get used to it.

My SIL told me she hated Dodge, those "mean looking" aggressive trucks that were eating your tail end, until I told her to test drive mine, another Dodge Dakota (that is how hubby loved mine and wants to get his own, but needs a cab in the back). She loved it!

All this car talk th.gif Whenever my friends start jabbering about cars, different models and brands, I feel like I'm around aliens. They always say pretty much the same thing though - "I want a camaro" or "I want a mustang" blah blee blah. "I want a 2006 flapjack with 4-wheel drive and ooh chrome rims jibberish jibberish " tongue.png

My mom likes SUVs. Would there be any company to stay away from?
