A poem of mine revised for Deerman,a good friend and mentor with wisdom I will not forget.

 

 

I've Ran Out Of Tears

Growing up I have ran out of tears.
I have ran out because of so many fears
All my loved ones dying within those years
I can hear them all,still voices ringing in my ears

They have passed on,no more pain they are in
This world was enough,then end..fin
to paradise or heaven they did win
then end of all things,of flesh,of grief,of sin

I often wonder when would be my turn
to leave this place,to began a new learn
or come back here to live again,to return
to live this life again,in agony and burn

I lost a friend today but I didn't cry
He was so friendly,but he did die
Its a little lonelier in this place
But no tear has rolled off my face
Goodbye Deerman, you I'll never replace
And your name I'll never erase
And where you will go you will fly
Look,there are tears

NPIP Certified-115 Chickens (50 chicks), 13 Geese (12 gosling), 19 BR Turkeys (5 poults), 7 Rabbits, 60 Muscovy Duck, 29 Guineas (15 keets), 9 Peafowl, 8 Sheep, 1 Goat and pea, turkey and guinea eggs cooking in the incubator.

I am so sorry - we have lost a great friend, mentor, teacher. Mr Burtis was a true hero; he faced life head-on & fought a good battle. Rest in peace my friend; I will think of you every time I see the beautiful peacocks you were gracious enough to entrust to me.

10 laying hens, 7 Welsummer chicks, 6 Cuckoo Marans chicks, 7 peacocks, 3 guineas, 3 dogs, 2 "official" cats & 2 more who just showed up & stayed, 1 green parakeet & 1 retired-but-stays-busy husband!
