We will miss you Deerman - Page 9

Last night I spent some time reading another thread on the BYC forum. I've always hung out on the peafowl page and occasionally wandered over to pheasants. I honestly didn't know the Family Life section existed. When I spotted the thread about Cancer Support, I decided to take a peek. It was such a revelation, reading BYCers experiences, written by names we see frequently. Yes, I read all 265 pages. Burt made many posts on that thread and I learned a lot more about him. We were so fortunate to have Burt and to know him. His humor and compassion are clearly displayed in every post. Thank you, 6littlechickies, for letting his family know how much Burt has meant to us.

Most of what I know about Deerman was from the Cancer Support thread, and his presence was always a bright spot.  He always came with kind, supportive words.  I'm very sorry to hear about his passing. My thoughts are with his family.

Deerman was so wonderful in helping everyone. I will never forget when he sent me some free peafowl eggs. He has helped answer many of our questions and was really kind and knowledgeable. He was so nice and helpful and he will definately be missed. hmm.png

Sad news to hear on the first time I've logged on in months.  Burt was so generous with information, his knowledge, tips, and never once talked down to me although I knew nothing about my peafowl at the beginning.

Rest in peace.

This is very sad news.
I knew Burt since 2006 and we shared many conversations and email's.
We had been most recently talking about peach peafowl and meeting halfway from Ohio/Indiana. I spoke to him last on Friday the day before he died.
Oh if I would have known, there was so many things I would have said.

He was so selfless, never complaining about himself.

I know he is in heaven. He loved all types of birds and of course deer.
And I am sure God has him full of joy in Paradise.

I will forever miss you Burt.
