One of my EEx WL cross hens went broody too- currently sitting on turkey eggs for me. Hopefully she will hang in there for the full 28 days!
 
Hatch is over, got 6/9 of the SBEL's to hatch, due to a bator spike. All but one developed and went two full weeks, then after the spike I lost two. Pretty awesome! Do they feather/wing sex accurately? If so, 3 boys and 3 girls :) Pretty darn cute. I might need to get some more!

Never tried to feather sex them.... did you tag them to check? That would be COOL....... even if it was by accident. That is a GREAT HATCH! Congrats! I have some hatching too!

What is that pink spot on the one on the right? Left over egg probably

I marked them all after looking at the wing tips, pink marker on the backs of the girls--I am keeping all of them until I am sure of gender so I will let you know if it was accurate. It was a real obvious difference between the two batches on day three, so we will see if it was a true indicator! Great hatch, heck ya, all the way to Cold freezing Utah, I am really happy with them, thanks!

La Casa de Pollo ~ Do you have any pics of your girl/boy chicks around 4 weeks? I'm curious to see the development. I got 3 SBELs from DMRippy mid-March, and they are precious! Two have straight combs and one is pea comb. I am just guessing at gender.

Post some pictures and we can try to help you. The White Leghorn roos show pretty early with big red combs. That seems to follow through in the cross.
