sloshy eggs?

I had to totally dismantle and rebuild my goose's nest because of a terrible ant infestation I found in their coop.  In the process, while p;icking up the eggs, two of them sounded sloshy, like there was water in them-the remaining 10 felt nice and heavy. I threw those two out without cracking them open.  Now I'm curious - are the eggs bad when they sound like that?  By the way, Mrs. Goose seemed to appreciate her new ant-free nest!!

Sloshy is never a good sound in an egg. They were not holding a growing gosling more than likely they had never started, or started and quit very early in the process.

I just recently had this with my ducks eggs, she hatched 4 with 4 more in the nest. after hatch day came and went I went and examined the remaining eggs when i listened i could hear sloshing so I cracked them open and they had not even started to develop. so more than likely yours hadn't either for whatever reason. But good luck on the rest and getting rid of those ants.
