Hi there,

I have a 6-week-old Barred Rock pullet who smells like chicken poo. None of the others do, just this one. Is this normal? She has not been able to dust bathe in about 5 days due to heavy rain. I have not seen any bugs on her either. Thanks

I just came back from checking on them. Petrie's poo is very wet. I was holding her and she went, but every 30 seconds, she'd poop a little more. Her nostrils are clicking, and all the other chicks are normal but this one. It makes me think worms, but don't those affect all chickens in a flock? I also forgot: She is fed MannaPro Medicated Chick Starter, and drinks hose water.

I think you should separate her from the others to start out with just incase it is something, worms do affect the whole flock I am going to link a website be aware it is VERY gross but super helpful, here it is... http://chat.allotment.org.uk/index.php?topic=17568.0

Also is the nose running at all? Is she weezing?

I have seen the poo chart, and it looks kind of like a watery foamy blackhead one. No nose running, and not really wheezing, just kind of clicking. It's hard to explain. She's been doing it since we got her, just she's been pooing normal. I can go get a pic of the poo later, when she does it again.

Yep. However, her posture is bad. Her head is kinda tucked in a bit, and her tail is down. As soon as I went to get petrie, she pooped. It wasn't as bad as the others, but is was still kinda wet. Kind of a foamy-solid, I have a pic on my iPod, but it died on me >.>

OH! It turned on. Okay, here was the 'okay but foamy solidy poo'. It rained yesterday, so the wet dirt is not from the poo. The poo is VERY light colored, as you can see :p

Okay, I've figured out how to explain the other poo. It looks kind of like abnormal poo number two on the chicken chart, with the color of 4.

hmm alright well the poo doesn't look so bad but she has something going on for sure because she obviously isn't acting quite normal with tail down and head tucked under etc.
I don't know what it is like i said when I have a sick chicken the first thing I do is separate them before I even go in to find out what it is (I mostly just set something up in the coop but then again I have never had any of them come down with a "bad" sickness).

Her head is not completely tucked into her body, just a little and she isn't flapping around the run as much as the others do. Her tail is definately not right though. We bought her from a hatchery, could that have something to do with it?
