egg on day 24 still alive but no pip - Page 2

Well I have not had good luck withe helping either but I know it works for some.  So the shrink wrap problem is high humidity?  I know I felt like it might die if I help but I KNEW it would die if I did not help!  It died.  Then the next pip that I did not help died too.  See?  Doomed if I do or don't!  I am going to start a new batch this weekend and hope that it will work out!!

Homeschool mom to 4 boys and one baby girl, a dog, a roo blrw and his 4 girls(1 BO, 2 rir, and 1 EE), 2 quail and 8 bantam chickens(1 roo and 1 hen d'uccle, 1 hen sboe, bb red oe hen, and silkies(buff, white, lavender and black))

Avonshire,My baby didn't make it. Shrink wrapped is when your humidity isn't high enough during hatch. How many eggs did you set this last time?

Only 7--it was kind of a homeschool project. However I already have 11 new eggs. I am hoping to get some more. I am also hoping to do the incubation better!  At least this time I will know that I tried my best.  Last time I did not realize so much went into incubating chicks!!

I hope everything goes better this time. 11 is a better number. For some reason I have at least 2 that die between day 7 and 14. That also makes up for any not fertile. It makes it hard when you only set a few then weed out the bad ones. Keep trying though it will get easier.
