Day 36 and no muscovies yet.

First time hatcher, and I have 9 surviving muscovy eggs out of 18.  Or at least I think they are surviving.  I'm on day 36 and no signs of hatching.  Some of the eggs are getting dark spots and I don't know if that's a good sign.  I'm working with a hoverbator with an internal fan.  If all of them are dead when a week ago they were moving around in the eggs, what would be the possible reasons they died?  I've done everything the instructions told me with some help from others on this site, why would they die?  Help.

It is best to candle them now an check for life. Dark spots appearing on the shells is not normally a good sign.

Any number of things can cause hatchling to die before ever getting to hatch. Temps, humidity, too much messing with the eggs, not enough turning, not enough fresh air, contamination. Some are just a failure to thrive and don't hatch.

Thanks, I will check them at the end of the day when my students leave.  Like I said, this was the first time I've hatched egg on my own, lots to learn.  I checked them before lock down and all were moving, not sure what happened.
