Beauty and the Beast - Starring Solo as the beast!

IMG_0535.JPG

One day some eggs arrived from a far off land called Ebay.  Alas, the eggs traveled far and the voyage was rough, so only one solitary egg developed and hatched.  Solo was born without any brothers or sisters.  He was a lonely guy for the first three weeks of his life.  He did get plenty of attention, but it just wasn't the same as having siblings to cuddle up to and bicker with.

After about three weeks or so, Solo did get some younger brothers and sisters, but it soon became apparent that he was very different.

Solo's legs are not quite right.  He isn't splay-legged, but he has a funny swagger, swaying like a sailor without his sea legs.  His entire body looks like it was attached in the wrong place, leaving his rear-end angled a little up.  This makes it pretty difficult for poor Solo to expell his stool without having a dirty bottom.  Plus, he never grew a tail!

Solo has grown into a beautiful young prince, at least from the front -

Sadly, his posterior view is not quite so attractive.

Will this Beast ever find his Beauty?  That will be another chapter in the neverending story of Brahmalot!

Aww, Poor Solo! I love his cute face!

Well, rumplessness does occur sometimes in other breeds aside from Auracanas, but I'm not sure why....

One last Runner-cross duck, 1 WCB Polish, 3 Barred Rocks, 3 bantam buff Brahmas, 1, Sultan hen, 2 chillaxed horses, 1 bossy mare, 2 crazy dogs, 2 ever-shedding kitties, 1 adorable rabbit, and 2 amusing dorm fish.

I miss you already, Shanaynay. You were the sweetest bird with many fans who miss you as well.

Looks like Solo could use a make over.  But if he dont turn his back to anyone, he will still be a good looking feller. thumbsup.gif.

Brahmalot has been deluged with weeks of rain, the worst the kingdom has seen.  In the last two weeks, Brahmalot has seen almost as much rain as is usually seen in a year.  Needless to say, there have been no stories recently, everyone is just trying to get through the mud and muck, as well as mold.

Sadly, there was one casualty, Spike, the visitor from a far away land.  You are missed, Sir Spike.  RIP

Meanwhile, the children of Brahmalot are growing up and popping out with some really unique colors -

Prince Oscar, proud and tall.

700

Sir Ghost, the White Knight, a solid white Brahma!

700

Sir Rusty, a little camera shy, but really popping out some beautiful coloring!

700

And then there's the ugly chickling - We're still looking for the beauty in him, but it looks like he is going to be another beast!

700

As always, with the circle of life, the new princes and princesses await the day they can go outside and greet the new world!
