New from Northeast Ohio

HI,

I have six six week old chickens I got a week ago.

Two reds, a BuffOrpington, a Barred Rock, an easter egger and a Golden Campine.

One of the reds is a rooster.

I live in Cleveland Heights but am moving to Denmark Township, we were given the chickens a little bit earlier than we planned.

Had the neighbors already complain and have until the end of the month to get rid of them, one week after we actually move so we're all good.

I found this website when looking into raising chickens a couple months ago and have been lurking.

We are getting 8 acres and starting a little farm.

Welcome to BYC!!! Hopefully everything will continue to go smoothly with your neighbors! Once they see how fun and sweet chickens can be they may just end up loving them too!! big_smile.png

Momma to four Columbian Wyandottes and one pretty EE fella.

Sister to a slew of wyandottes, EE, geese, a turkey sprinkled here and there, and a couple of piggies

Being a Nursing Student has opened my eyes to the fact that I have no life. I wake up, play with my chickens, go to school, come home, play with my chickens, study, work, sleep. Rinse and repeat

We're moving to where chickens are allowed, Cleveland Heights is in the process of allowing them but we will be gone by the time its legal.

I made the run and Coop, I'm not very handy but decided to give it a try. I want to move the coop outside the run and attach them but that's a this weekend project.

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
