first swim in the big pond - with the big girls

I had the ducklings out in the back yard today with the dogs and the ducks. Ducks checked out their carrier from a distance while trying to look like they weren't interested. Then watched them from the pond. I took the ducklings for a walk and the big girls hopped out and checked them out - again from a bit of a distance.

We walked the ducklings to the pond and scooped them up and put them in. Let them swim for a bit and then Ally came along to hop in the pool, so we watched closely - she kept her distance and didn't bother anybody and then got a little closer and just swam around. Cadbury hopped in and checked out the pond with extras in it as well. Got everybody out and the big girls ran right back in as to say "this is our pond, don't get any ideas!"

This makes me want ducklings SOOOO badly!

Animal family: Two Betta fish, four White Cloud Minnows, two African Dwarf Frogs, two male gerbils, one quarter horse mare, one blind South Pole bull, five Blue Swedish Cayuga mix ducks, and one mini dachshund.

My pets give me headaches, heartaches and tons of stress, they're hard on the wallet and give nothing back, but they are the light of my life. I wouldn't be who I am without them.
