Well, I do have one outlet! My across-the-road neighbor came over to find out what we were building. When he found out it was a chicken house, he told me that he would buy eggs from me and that he had FIVE for breakfast every morning!!! That is almost a dozen every two days!!!

My parents buy a dozen eggs from me for $5 and they get 2 doz. a week. Helps out with the feedings!

We have 13 girls that should be laying, though a few are broody, and one is molting, so we average 7-9 eggs a day. Lots are used for hatching, some are sold for eating, and we eat the rest.

Well, that will be exciting to get a little money to put towards their feed! As of right now, I am having to pay for feed out of the groceries budget. I know the stores sell their "free range" eggs from $2.50 to over $4.00. I was thinking of asking my neighbor if he would be willing to pay about $3.00.
