Pregnant kitty, HELP!!!!

Okay, so I have three cats, 2 girls and 1 boy. About 9 weeks ago, one of them went into heat. I just figured she was too young. Although, now she is HUGE!

Well, according to what I've read, she should be due any day now. Today, she should have been pregnant for 61-63 days. I read something today that said they shouldn't give birth after the 61 day. So I'm getting a little worried. My main question is, what are some signs that she is going into labor? I saw her throwing up yesterday and wondered if that had any thing to do with it. Any other suggestions would be good also.

I've got 2 cats, Dyllen and Star. I have 17 chickens; 3 BLRW, 3 mutts, 2 EEs, 2 White Rock roosters, 1 RIR, 1 White Leghorn, 1 Red Star, 1 Golden Campine, 1 unknown hen, 1 Partridge cochin, and 1  Golden Polish. I also have 1 Swedish/Black Indian Runner laying on 8 eggs.

I am going to have way too many kittens! I was sitting in my room and my dad walks in and says "Are you aware that there's kittens outside?." I went out there and they are not my cat's, she is still fat as ever. Plus they are too old to be hers. I think I know who's they are. A few days ago I caught another black cat (was way fluffier than mine) in our garage. I kind of chased her out but she was determined to stay in! Now I know why!!!

I went back and recalculated the days and she is not due until some time this week, so I haven't gotten any kittens yet....

Keep a close eye on her. You may even want to shut her in a nice quiet room so she can give birth in peace.

Some signs to look for:

She may vanish. This is her way of looking for a nice quiet, safe place to nest.

-You can close her in a quiet room with a box available to her with nice warm towels to give birth in. Like a welping box.

During pregnacy, cats usually eat almost double what they usually do. When labor hits or gets close, they don't eat very much, if at all.

I've seen a few cats pace around like they are nervous or anxious.

She will probably cry real loud when it's about labor time.

My Mom's old cat also like to pace in and out of her welping box when she had one of her litters. This was about when labor hit for her.

Your cat will also start to lick herslef a lot.

Also, watch her nipples. for milk discharge.

When the first stage of labor hits she will probably pant, pur, paw, pace, vomit or cry as if in pain. They can even look like they are constipated.

Keep towels handy to dry off kittens or even help if they aren't breathing. Also, I would have a vet on speed dial if anythign were to go wrong.

Good luck and keep us posted!!! big_smile.png

One thing to be careful about is that she may not even care for the kittens, because she's too young. So be prepared to care for them. I hope everything goes well and she takes to them. Good luck! What color is the dad?

Okay, I will have to watch for that. The dad looks like Siamese but is gray and white (does that make sense?) Hope everything goes okay with with your cat Squawkbox!

I found kittens in my garage last week and according to one of the kittens, my cat is the dad. Here is are pics (I don't have any good pics of him and he is not around very often)

Too cute!!!!

I know what you mean about he looks Siamese but isn't. Our old cat Spookie, her first litter look EXACTLY like the litter you have pictured.

There were 2 all black kittens (just like Spookie), then there was a kitten that looked like the one pictured, only instead of gray points, she had a dark brown. Dad must have looked like her. Dad was a stray we never saw, as Spookie decided to sneak out and run away.
