Teacher says they came from Rhode Island Reds. They don't look like our other RIR, but I suppose time will tell.

They are definitely not RIR, RIR chicks are reddish colored.

3 weeks old... 

 

Fluff is golden yellow, feathers are yellow white

Here they are at 5 weeks 3 days old...

 

They are looking more white in color, definite red ear lobes. Remember, they came from brown eggs. The breeder said they came from Rhode Island Reds, but I'm thinking perhaps he meant Rhode Island Whites?  Or maybe White Rocks? barnie.gif

 

And I'm thinking I didn't do a very good job at picking out girls...
