It is a real lovebird- it is just probably a cross between two different species, and therefore not a good idea to breed it. It should make a fine pet, though :)

It is not until one has lived with animals that one fully understands what it is to be human.

It's certainly a lovebird, it's just a crossbreed or hybrid. It's considered unethical to crossbreed lovebird species, so she shouldn't perpetuate it.
