new chicken momma in AZ

Thread Starter
Hi all! I am a first time chicken momma with 30 new chicks. I recently had to move in with my father, who actually owns the chicks. I have fallen in love with these awesome feathered critters and I am trying to do the best I can for them all. I also have an 8 month old son of the human variety who is learning to be good to animals at a super young age. I look forward to learning from you all!

Hello and welcome-byc.gif

Sounds like a pretty sweet set-up. It's great that your son's getting the opportunity to own chickens too! tongue.png

Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site big_smile.png

Hello and Welcome to BYC. My son also grew up with chickens (and pigs and sheep and cows). Very good for them to learn and experience this from a young age.

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan frow.gif

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
