Love my chickens!

Thread Starter

I am new to Backyard Chickens and am raising Lavender Orpingtons.  I only have 8 to start out with but they are really beautiful.  I used to have Buff Orps years ago but sold them all when I moved.  It has been 7 years since I had chickens and I am so excited about it.  My chicks are a couple of months old now.

4 grown children, 6 grandchildren, 8 Lavender Orpingtons, 8 French Black Copper Marans, a trio of Ginger Red OEGB and 2 dachshunds.

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone.  I forgot to mention that I am in Oklahoma.  I also have two miniature dachshunds which are my family since my real kids grew up.  LOL
