I think that they do know their owner....the one who brings feed, water and treats.....and they will come running.  They will be cautious around others until they are sure that the others are also bringers of treats.  Chickens are soooo smart.  :O)

My new tag line...added to the end of every sentence--->  "...... after all, they ARE chickens!!!"

She's so cute!

Happy Owner of 6 modern day T-Rex's, and 2 Russian Tortoises! There are more chickens on earth than humans & Alektorophobia is the fear of chickens. Random Fact-- One penny doubled everyday would be over 5 million in 30 days.

What is BOSS?? Black Oil Sunflower Seeds?

I heard that chickens can recognize other chickens in a flock of hundreds, so it makes sense they recognize people.

Mine know me for sure..they are very wary with other people, and very friendly with me. I have no doubt that they can recognize people.

Mine certainly know my voice. They free range on an acre and even when deep in bushes, around the corner of the house out of eyesight- they come running when I call "Chick-a-doodles!"
