Just picked mine up about an hour ago..10 of them..received all the breeds I wanted, wild little chickies! drinking right away, no pasty butts, very friendly and happy.

I do have one that isn't doing well, was pretty out of it when I opened the box, trying to pull her thru, I know 'stuff' happens, but will do what I can for her.

Otherwise I am VERY happy so far with the quality and babies I've gotten, they shipped out at 3 pm yesterday and I got them in Old Lyme, CT at 11 am this morning.

My friend and i shared and order from MPC of 12 bantam pullets (EE's, brahmas, cochins, and barred rocks) and 2 large size welsummer pullets.  All chicks arrived in great condition, feisty and healthy.  They are 3 weeks old today and we've had no losses.  I think 2 of the brahma bantams are boys, though.

Customer service has been good - we had a lot of questions at the time of ordering, and they were very nice and informative.  The chicks were shipped on a Monday and arrived here in Massachusetts the following day.  This is the least time in transit in my experience, which probably explains why all survived.  I once ordered from McMurray: Birds were shipped on a Saturday and did not get here until the following Tuesday.  Several were DOA, and a few more died within the next few days.  Have also ordered from Ideal: Birds spent 2 days in transit, and I think 1 or 2 DOA.

For me the reasons to order from MPC is the 1-day transit time, at least to MA, which means they arrive in better condition, and the sexed bantams, but I cannot comment on the latter until I see what sex all our birds really are.  I will post again when we know.

I ordered from MPC 2 months ago. I ordered a mix of Orpingtons and Brahmas. When I went to pick them up they were all DOA. They had super fast shipping and I recieved them withing 24 hrs of their hatch! I totally blame the post office for the dead chicks. The lady told me at the post office she thinks that the driver had them up front with the AC because he thought they were cold!! Ugh! MPC was AMAZING and offered me a full refund since the breeds I wanted were no longer available.

My chicks from MPC were supposed to be hatched the week of 4/19 but there was some sort of hatch failure and none of my chicks or my substitutions were available. Then next ship date they had for me was this week so I sat around anxiously today, checking my e-mail many many times and finally called them and left a message. They called back (when I stepped out to water the garden of course) and said my chicks were shipped and to let them know if I wanted a tracking number. (why wouldn't I want one?) I called back and was put on hold and finally sent an email. I am hoping my chicks arrive healthy and soon!!

One Delaware, one partridge Cochin, one Easter Egger and one Buff Orpington
