Hello, from Matthews, NC

Thread Starter

I am completely new to backyard chickens....Had them as a child in PR, but have always wanted to have a coop...Don't have a coop or chickens yet, have been trying to study and learn as much as possible and make decisions on coop plans..So very excited to have them as pets and learning experience for my children.

Welcome to BYC! We're always glad to have people who are interested in chickens and are coming here to learn more. Use the handy search bar, or the forum section to search around the site. yippiechickie.gif

It's the shape that makes the breed, and the color that makes the variety.

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
