Buff egg layers

I am looking for buff leghorns but the hatcheries that sell them are either sold out or require huge minimum. So i was looking at a Buff minorca, I was wondering if they lay as much as a leghorn or a california white. I was planning on breeding them with a buff rock rooster, I was also wondering if a minorca would survive a tennessee winter with temps around 30F-45F or dubbing their combs

The Minorcas that we had were great layers, large and huge x-large eggs.

As far as I'm concerned they lay as well as the Leghorn and California Whites.

We got ours from Murray McMurray.

I'd love to have them but I dont think they could survive a tennessee winter

What about Buff wyandottes, cornish, chanteclers, cochins, or brahmas? Ideal has all of these

Or are you looking for white egg layers?

I was really was wanting to make a buff equivalent to the california white by crossing a buff rock roo x buff leghorn hen then that offspring to a buff leghorn hen. So idealy i was needing a very high producing hen the rivals the leghorn and thats a purebred

 I think they would.   I've lived in Tennesse for 3 years, my wife is from there. It isn't that much colder than here in Arkansas.

Thank you. Im in knoxville and it can get pretty cold for the south
