Leghorns are great egg laying chickens. They are friendly to other Leghorns and can easily fly. The only problems is that they are bad in the pecking order and they can make a mess of the yard....
I will start by saying that I love Australorps. In fact, my very favorite hen is an Australorp. She is such a sweet chicken and just let's you walk right up to her to pick her up. She doesn't run...
I couldn't get this thing to stop leaking. I even tested it by putting it on a flat concrete surface and it still leaked out the entire 2 gallons. Tried hanging it, tried sitting it on the...

If it comes up again, and it might, as someone else said, you need to set some ground rules. The first of which is NO SMOKING IN THE HOUSE. My smoking friends are welcome to smoke all they want. OUTSIDE. I do not allow smoking in my house by anyone, at anytime, ever. Smokers have no idea how noxious cigarette smoke is to non smokers, and it permeates everything. It is very difficult and expensive to remove the odor from drapes, rugs, and furniture.
The obscure we understand eventually. The obvious takes a little longer.

No smoking in the house and no controlled substances in the house.
Friends are the family you make for yourself. There are no coincidences- only providences.
Yes I agree with all of you. Hopefully this won't come up again, but in the event that it does I will be prepared. I will sit down with Jamison some time this week and we will come up with a gameplan for if she does wind up staying with us. It will be much easier if he and I are on the same side if anything does go wonky.
No chickens right now, but between Jamison and Samson I have my hands full anyways!
Living our life in Sacramento and planning for our future. It's hard to believe it can get better than this
If she gets thrown out again and wants to move in with you I would find out why she was asked to leave. You deserve to know if there is a problem that you wouldn't be comfortable with. This would be a good time to sit down with Jamison and work out house rules before this situation comes up again. I have a very close girlfriend in CA that has had numerous problems mostly related to drug use. She wants to come to Ohio and live with us to "Start over". We had to say no. It was a hard decision and if anything bad happens to her I will feel terrible. My husband has a federal firearms license for his business here at the house and we would lose that and probably our property if she got caught. We can't afford to take that risk. We had to have house rules for his neices. They would bring their dogs and let them terrorize my cats. They are welcome but their dogs are not. Getting things out front really eases relationships. Good luck and I hope you don't have to fwce these issues.
amazing husband who puts up with (and enjoys) an ever growing menagerie of chickens (two many to count) 6 cats, 2 wolf dogs, 1 goofy rescue shepherd. Wanting goats, milk cows and Emus! Need more coops and fences.

rrrmamma: We did actually finally find out why she was asked to leave, and it wasn't at all what we thought. I guess the friends she was staying with are about to lose thier home. They can't make their payments, and Leanne's friend didn't want Leanne to be there when she had to tell her husband. Pretty sad situation actually But I guess the point is that Leanne wasn't asked to leave because she had done something wrong or was hard to live with.

That is sad for her friends, but good for you to know. Hope everything works out for all of you.
