What breed is this black chick?

We bought DSC00117.JPGchicks at the local farm store which said mixed breed pullets.  The black chick has feathered feet.  Is there any way to tell what breed it is at this age?  This is our first venture into the world of chickens.

Home of Caramel (the rooster by surprise), Queen Eggster (top chick and snack attacker), Captain Cluck (second in command), Dotty (the daft one), and Trixie (the little bird with a big personality).

Well, I am going to guess that the black one might be a cochin.

Yeah, that profuse of leg feathering would almost have to be a cochin mix. It's possible it could be Langshan or Brahma, but since cochins are so much more common I'd hazard that as a guess.

I'm gonna guess black cochin as well.  She looks like she has a single comb, so I don't think it'd be a brahma.  :)  She's very cute!

I agree.  Not only the feet, but the size of the beak in proportion to the face looks just like my Bantam Cochin.  Mine is named Ugg because it looks like it's wearing Ugg Boots.
