The sicilian buttercup has heavy "eye makeup" all around their eyes.  I thought they looked like Cleopatra!  lol.  I don't know very much, but here is a pix of mine.100_1797.JPG

Doesn't look like the Sicilian buttercups I got this spring.

geez this is hard, the only chicks out of 25 chicks are these 2 that I posted above that are different. None of the other chicks have these kind of markings on the face.

The 2nd chick in your picture above does look to be a match to the butter cup, what a neat bird!

I 2nd the chickmunk striped one being a welsummer, when we got our chicks they had a whole brooder full of welsummers and they looked like that.

There are a few chick pictures here, not quite a match but close enough.

The sicillian buttercup is more a ornamental bird(from what I have read)  Good at flying away from predators and good for free ranging.  These 3 babies are my first. Very pretty.

Ah unfortunately we need the girls for eggs, cant afford ornamental chickens at this point, maybe down the road.  But yes gorgeous birds!  I could see why you have them.  They dont tolerate cold very well either though, from what I'm reading so not sure they would do well in our Central Oregon winters.  But thank you for the picture, such a treat to see that in your run every day I'm sure.
