You know, I am a live-and-let-live sort and we share space with a lot diverse creatures on our farm and I respect their right to be here. That said, I've had a few times when I've had to dispatch of something that, in a perfect world, I would have had an alternate solution for. Sometimes  it doesn't work out that way.

We  had real snake problems for years. Then the misses got pet pigs! No copperheads, no black snakes, no snakes period. I did find about one-third of a snake once, but that was it. Snake problem solved!

Chickens and turkeys in the backyard since 1984. They co-habitate with PB pigs (5) and barn cats. Only purebreds are Welsummers, SC Rhode Island White and Royal Palm Turkeys. APA. NRA.

You would be amazed what you can trade eggs for.

No woman ever shot her husband while he was doing the dishes.

Oh yeah, I got a nap for that.
