When I tell my chickens to the food and not hog it all, I do not mean to also share the nesting boxes. My poor girl was trapped behind her sister. Oh, and my RIR finally started laying again! I discovered four eggs, and I have three chickens. Two from my RIR and 1 from the other two. I check the boxes every morning and every night.

Final check before the sun was gone. The chicks finally went under the heat lamp.

How much (is that doggie in the window?) would you pay for this sectional?
Would you charge me for the the shipping and handling you incur?
I had a woman try to talk me down $250, and she says that I should pay her to come pick it up because she lives almost 2 hours away.

:lau  People are crazy!  How much are you asking for it?  Just keep the add up.  Someone will see it eventually.  Maybe it's not furniture shopping season.

I am asking $600. I want $1200, but that wasn't going to happen. I can handle $500, but that wasn't a desired amount. I was told $300 because they live "so far" away. I got her up to $450 cash. That wasn't easy. She keeps jerking me around with picking it up, but I do think she is serious about wanting it. What I don't get is; 1, Why hasn't she asked for my number or address. Especially phone number! 2, why (since it's happened last Sunday and this) if Sunday is the best day for her, hasn't she just said Sunday, instead of "we'll check out schedules"? And 3, She waited until 8:30 last night to say she wanted to come this morning. Not a word the whole week! The message was stamped last night, but never came through until today. I checked last sometime after eleven last night. When I apologized for not seeing it, she got snobby with how "well, its too late now! We could only get help at nine, and it's a whole hour later! We have to come alllll the way to you!"

:smack It isn't my problem!!!!!

I was ready for bed at seven. I have to go before I fall asleep. Night!!

Personally I don't think you should go so low. $600 is a really good price as it is and too bad for them if they wanna do that. The right person will come along. ALSO. my mom overprices some stuff imo but she has a point when she always says to price it high and then someone will offer lower and you can take it. So for instance, I say you even should list it for 1200 and then someone would offer 1000 or 800 or whatever and you could take that. Instead of starting extremely low to begin with and then having to deal with ******** like that. I say take a chance and list it higher. Someone will buy it whether at full price or $600 but don't accept ******* lowball offers. Also another thing you could try if you're set on going no lower than $600 is either say FIRM ooooorrrr go a little higher like $800 or $1000 or even $1200 and say OBO
Kelsey. Massachusetts. Have a 4 year old Black Lab/Great Pyrenees mix named Gator, a 6 year old kitty named Luna, and 8 hens hatched October 26th, 2015. 1 Barred Rock, 2 Black Australorps, 3 Buff Orpingtons, and 2 Easter Eggers on about 3 acres. 5 more chicks coming this October

That's really good advice.  I always list things a little higher, so when I get a lower offer, the buyer is happy to get a good deal and I am happy getting what I wanted in the first place.

Do you have something to take the place of the sofa?  What are you going to sit on?  What's Duckling going to jump on?!  Smiley

It matches the sectional, but didn't come with it. I used it to rock Duckling as an infant... Sort of. It's oversized, and it's hard to rock when your feet don't touch the floor!
This one is a million years old. It came with the house! I think it's from the 80s or 90s. It doesn't rock, but it reclines.

Duckling has her beanbag chair, as well as a camp chair. If nothing else, I do have a metal framed futon out on the sunporch. It's new enough that it has a very thick mattress.
Some people are selling their furniture for a really good price, but I don't want someone else's used furniture. I'm too much of a Germaphobe. Even knowing that David's aunt had MRSA while sleeping on that overstuffed recliner, has made me antsy over the past four years. It's been cleaned and Lysoled repeatedly. Ha ha! I think I'll get out the carpet scrubber again now!

Once the sectional is gone, I may be tearing up the carpeting in the living room. You guys remember years ago when I took the top few layers off, and discovered that the floor underneath is mismatched slats of wood. I have enough oval rugs to cover the majority of the floor, so I think that I will strip the floor all the way down for cleanliness purposes. A.k.a. allergies! The padding under the carpet-as well as the carpet - is deteriorating quickly. It's very old, full of mold, and doesn't come clean.
I have an art desk with a light in it downstairs in the basement. It's one of those Crayola or Fisher-Price ones. With the sectional gone, and that recliner out of the playroom/nursery I can bring up the art desk for Duckling. She's really not ready for crayons, but she will be soon. I gave her a sheet of stickers with you it is ago, and it kept her entertained for about an hour. I assume everyone here has been offered a Disney movie club membership. I always knew those stickers that came with the ad would be handy for something!
When the new baby comes, I think I will keep him in my bedroom for the first few months like I did Duckling. Then he will probably go upstairs with Duckling. I have a good rocking chair. I'll just have to get used to it again. My nephew Andrew is 20 now. It has been a long time since I've had to rock him in the
at chair!
