click and ship is fine, There are Flat rate priority boxes and those cost the same no matter where you send them the boxes say "flat rate" on them and they have a set price for each size box. Then there are regular priority mail boxes and those are mailed by weight and size, destination and can cost more to send.

I can send you some next week.  Only I write "CCL" on my eggs.  PM me your addy and I'll ask the girls to be generous this weekend.  I'm collecting through Saturday for myself first though.  Consider it a thank you gift for all your hard work and time on the monthly egg swaps.

typically the flat rate boxes are great if you're sending something heavy. otherwise just use regular priorty mail. it'll save you money.

click and ship, you save like 10% for doing it online, and delivery confirmation is free, where at PO it costs.

if you have a fairly accurate scale and a printer, do it online. you won't believe the cost savings.  but yes, california costs more regardless. but even then i've paid less for online than for walk-in...

and they take paypal!

edit: if you ship a LOT, invest in a good scale. from usps for about $35, you'll save that in just 10-12 boxes. (or less) - i have a hanging 'fish hook' scale from ebay for about $5. package box, stick the hook in the corner and hang away. accurate to a 10th of a pound.

Karen - k.i.forgot (it's a ham thing...)
Welcome to the Zoo!  2 Morgans, 2 Minis, 1 Standard Poodle, 3 cats, 3 pet birds and the chickens.

Dorkings and bantam Cochins mostly, with a few others here and there.

And of course, my wonderful Hubby, who puts up with me and keeps me in check when I start to get crazy.

And those who received my eggs, please do let me know how well they do. We're planning on selling eggs from the English Orpington flocks we're starting, and this is the first time I've shipped eggs.
