therapy for the lost ones...  set more eggs in the incubator.  8)  works for me. lose one, set 10 more eggs.

isn't that how chicken math works?

Welcome to the Zoo!  2 Morgans, 2 Minis, 1 Standard Poodle, 3 cats, 3 pet birds and the chickens.

Dorkings and bantam Cochins mostly, with a few others here and there.

And of course, my wonderful Hubby, who puts up with me and keeps me in check when I start to get crazy.

Maryruth! I have buttons this morning, I gave up because its day 19 or 20 and I thought they hatched a wee bit early.  3 so far. A Friend who I have staying with us has been hovering over the eggs excited to see such tiny birds! and BOY they don't disappoint !  Ive given them their won incubator to live in for 4-5 days  while they get big enough to go somewhere not quite as heat controled. They will have a heating pad, however, so they should be able to get heat at their level.

So far quail eggs seem to ship better then  chicken eggs. I  just had a 2 out of 20 egg  hatch  from a   swap from a different swap, but quails are popping up everywhere!

I have no idea on the pheasant eggs. The Sussex/x mix are due this week too. They are heavy eggs!

well my may swap turkeys are pipped (all 3), i've got 1 brown coturnix from mary ruth out, and the red dorkings (purchased) will probably pip tonight or tomorrow. at least that's what i had this morning.  i'm not home at the moment, since i still have no power except generators. so i'm enjoying a friend's quiet central air. LOL

Well, it's been a horrible week already and to make it worse, get home and still no eggs.  I'm crawling back to my cave.  Good luck with the hatches guys.

I don't have my eggs yet either, but know that eventually they will be on their way.... I think this hot weather is wrecking havoc on lots of flocks.
