Not yet, but talked with her today and it sounds like they will get sent soon.  I know she's had alot going on right now. I can wait - I filled up my incubators anyway- just because there was space and they will be shut down soon. Thats what I told DH anyways hide.gif

Ki4got -  I sent you the guinea eggs and the mystery eggs.  The little green was from my bantam EE's, sorry it didn't make it.  The other banty egg was probably a serama, or perhaps a cochin, or a Modern Game bantam, I don't remember.  The big brown egg - has it hatched yet?  I am pretty sure I know what that one is, there are 2 choices here, and if it is the one I think I sent you, you will know what it is when you see it.

BHep - three of your eggs made it and are now pipping and cheeping away.  I have two of the Wyandottes and one of the Olive Egger.  YAY!

I got my eggs yesterday from hot2pot. 8 of them have SS written on them. Is that for speckled Sussex? There are also 3 other dark brown eggs in there. I don't know what those are either.

Thanks again Jim for all the work you do for these monthly swaps!

It is up and running!  Yeah!

How is everyone holding up in this heat?  We lost 2 birds earlier this week but have been holding steady so far.  Gone through lots of watermelons and frozen ears of corn.  Birds now recognize the hose and run from it.  :) Thank goodness it is suppose to break tomorrow night.

I lost a Cochin cock but I had 4 in the pen so I'm not really out there. I also lost a few teenagers but. Nothing for about a week. I have extension cords going everywhere plugged into fans.

I also lost a Brown Swiss bred heifer to the heat last weekend too. My wife's great grandma always would say, "better in the barnyard than the house yard".

So true.  I don't ever remember heat like this.  Unfortunately we lost a Tolbunt Polish hen.  I have very few of those to spare as it is.  And of course she was the favorite one.  Everyone else is looking good.  If I see droopy wings they get dunked into cool water.  They don't like it but they look better afterwards.

Dorkings and bantam Cochins mostly, with a few others here and there.

And of course, my wonderful Hubby, who puts up with me and keeps me in check when I start to get crazy.
