Summer 2012 Granny "Square" Swap (sign ups closed)

The album has about 150 pics so, it may take a minute especially w/o high speed.
Believe it or not, I have high speed wireless. I live in a black hole of technology so my signal is super weak. I left the page up for an hour and not one of the pics loaded. I'm bummed cause I loved the pics of yours I saw a while back.

I'm sorry they didn't load.

We don't get Cardinals in CA. I miss seeing them since I lived back east for many years and they were plentiful there. We get snow geese here every winter. They eat on the dry grass in the parks and sometimes are a nuisance when they are crossing the road. I love to see them though. We get more interesting birds when springtime comes and the birds migrate.

I'd never seen cardinals before, either, except the ones from St. Louis who played baseball. Have you heard Stan Musial died? Great ball player.

Sunny, your picture of the frost is awesome! I have a couple below that I took at my sisters. The frost and ice were on her
horses' round pen fence. Although beautiful, the cold is wreaking havoc on my body. I have a couple of photos of cardinals, I'll post and hopefully you can see them. Have a great day everyone!

Very Cool! haha No pun intended. Those are some big crystals!

Thanks Cathy. I'll look forward to those! How's that Grandbaby doing?

I got some of your photos to load this morning Kassaundra! Lovely photos. :) What are the long tailed, mostly white birds? The photos remind me of a bird we get here in Nevada that I'd never seen in CA but I don't know what type of bird it is.

Those are siscor (I have respelled that several times no version looks right, the tool you cut fabric with) tail fly catcher, they are the state bird of Oklahoma.

Okay spell checked it scissor, I left it miss spelled so the rest of what I said made sense. lol

Beautiful bird. Just looked it up on the internet and the bird I thought it looked like doesn't have the split tail. That's a very cool looking bird! Thanks for the pics. :)
