OK the next couple of days are going to be slammed for me.  I want to check in here often so that folks on the main forum (recent posts area) see there's a new swap but it's gonna be tough to squeeze in with all the moving.

But I know what a friendly group we have here so I will trust you all to keep things going when I can't be here.  Oh I hope I'm not being a terrible host!!!

Don't miss the new Nevada thread pages here!  These pages are in their infancy so don't hesitate to send me suggestions for additions or improvements.  Just be kind... I'm old and technologically challenged.     LOL

You don't worry about a thing but moving.  I'm sure we all know how that can be.  I have two friends moving tomorrow to Pahrump, NV and he can't do anything physical since he has to use a walker to get around and she is a cancer survivor.  They had people to help them they thought and they backed out but she's at least got two to help load furniture.  Will help out as best as a 72 year old can help.  I still lift my chicken feed so I can at least do something.

I got two zucchini out of the garden yesterday and a squash.  My egg plant is now in bloom.  I'm thinking of some fried green tomatoes also. I still don't have any ripe ones but the green are getting to be good size with lots of other little green ones.  I have the usual "Celebrity" and a "Solar Fire" that is supposed to do well in the heat and a new one "Heat Wave" that I'm trying. I found some lovely pink Penstemon yesterday that I'm going to add to my flower garden.  I lost the two new climbers I planted this year and don't know why.  The third one is fine.  The wind here is bad on new plants and that might be the case.  One of them "New Dawn" I really wanted to live and it didn't.  I'll try again.

Hobby Lobby is open in Victorville and I want to go but my daughter is out of school for the summer and there is a Hobby Lobby there as well as Joann's and Michaels so will probably go visit as soon as she gets back from the coast.  Must be nice to have in laws that have a beach house and a cabin in the Sequioas.

Sunny, Take care moving and don't hurt yourself.  We'll keep the home fires burning until you can add your two cents worth  ya.gifand it doesn't make you a terrible hostess.

I like those squares, such pretty colors.  I still haven't got any more yarn.  I need to get going on it.  The runner is coming along.  I worked on it at the Lodge tonight while waiting for hubby to get out of his meeting.  My garden is doing well.  I took a friend some green tomatoes as her husband has been wanting some fried green tomatoes.  I have a lot of them along with summer squash.  We had zucchini and squash for dinner the other night and I'll be picking another cabbage soon.  I have flowers on everything, even okra and green beans, and little veggies on just about everything.

We finally have some cooler weather and the winds died down which I am thankful for.

Thank you Betty!  A trip to visit your daughter sounds wonderful!  I told mine today that I thought running away to Tahiti sounded like a great idea right about now.  hahaha  She said she'll get the tickets reserved for us all.   lol.png   Never been to Tahiti but I'm sure it's more fun than moving!  I am trying to behave.  I figured popping in here was a good way to relax for a bit.  Been on my feet all day.

The only Cafe Latte I can find is the regular Red Heart, not the Shimmer. It's the only one on the list that isn't soft and slinky, is it the right one? Or is there another one out there?

Yep that's the right one.  I wish they had it in shimmer!  That would be cool!  OK back to work.

Good morning everyone.  I have to go to town and don't much want to go but if I don't I'll have smelly breath and my dentures will slip. lol  It was windy last night and I lost part of my desert willow again.  I think my husband is pruning it wrong although the wind was really bad.

I ordered my yarn (yipee) from JoAnn's.  I couldn't find the Caron Simply Soft Party to get the Royal Sparkle.  I love blue.  I found the Lav Bluee and it's spelled that way.  I got that and the Cranberry and Shamrock and Ivory.  I already have the bone and cafe' latte.  Whenever they come in I'm good to go.

I helped a friend and her husband move on Friday and I'm still sore from lifting boxes and moving furniture.  They are in Parump, NV now.  I gave her one of my afghans that I made last year.  I make them for the sake of making them and they make a quick gift if I need one in a hurry.  I finished the quilt top for my 12 yr old grandson and now I have the pillow case to make to match and then I can quilt them whenever I get to Joann's  to get the batting.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday.......
