What did you do in the garden today?

I was outside and got dizzy - fell down . I am okay but inside taking a break . Not sure what caused it but happens on occasion . I do take a med that says may cause dizziness .
Glad you’re ok but yikes! That hurts sometimes, I hope there’s no lingering effects!

Good afternoon gardeners. It’s dreary and raining today. I’ve cleaned house a little bit and snuggled with the dogs watching movies. So far one of the lilacs is making the transition to outdoor conditions quite well but the other is struggling. The olive I transplanted isn’t doing well at all, but I haven’t given up on it yet. My polka dot begonia bloomed, I just got it at a rooted cutting this past summer so I guess it’s happy. It’s putting out new leaves regularly as well. I have a new monstera cutting I’m nurturing as well, I love plants with big leaves like that. Time to get back to housework, hopefully tomorrow it’ll be dry and I can get outside. Have a great day all.

If you are on blood pressure medicine HCTZ comes to mind, can cause that real easy. Bending over, standing up will do it, if you are even lightly dehydrated can do it, if you have been dieting, getting yourself in better shape, and lost a few pounds since your last dose eval, THAT will do it very easy too. stay hydrated and be careful.

Good morning gardeners. It’s still dark but I can hear it raining. The gauge last night hardly showed anything, but it sounds pretty steady like it was yesterday so that’s good; at least it has a chance to soak in instead of run off. Have a wonderful day all!
It has stopped raining so I went outside and pulled several palm trees trying to get started. I found a small mesquite starting so moved it to a new spot and we’ll see what happens. Those things are good for shade and we really liked having both out there. The little transplant is slightly further from the house and the other tree than the last was. I also transplanted the Arabian lilac between the windows to our bed and bath rooms. The heat from late afternoon spring and fall sun exposure warms that wall quite a bit. I’m probably going to move the other Mexican bird of paradise to the other side of our bedroom window so we get shade there too.

Hey all, no time to catch up atm.

Been cooking most of the day & got the chickens all fed, watered, back together & tucked in for the winter. Surgery is tmrw so hopefully the week apart knocked my bully down a notch so the other will stop sleeping in the nest, but I highly doubt it. Can’t worry about it now, figure it out, dummies!

I’ll cya all when the drugs wear off. 😂

just took another batch of sliced beets out of the freeze dryer. they are like beet potato chips and absolutely delicious IU !! Given they are thin wafers, am using the pharma tray set, which essentially doubles the amount per batch I am doing. I really need to start looking for other plants to do the same with. I tried my lufa as well, the young ones you eat just like you'd eat a zucchini and those are pretty yummy too I think as I am preparing foods, cooking them, canning / whatEVER .. the liquids that come out, I know what it is, super pure super vitamin rich?? veggie gizzard squeezins !!! I am going to start saving this, use it as a base for all my soups, anything that requires water be put into it, even bread loaves, use this. Add to flavor, add to vitamins, I don't see any downsides to using the liquid here.

We shall see
