What did you do in the garden today?

Peeked at the asparagus bed before hunting for eggs in the chicken coop. The first spear poking up out of the dirt. Tiny purple finger.

I bought like 20 strawberry plants from a store I trust with greenhouse they always buy from.
Did by onion sets for walla walla sweet onions plant them with tomato in a month.
Every time I used my master blend hydroponic fertilizer at label dose on my straw berry plants they died, so I switched to chicken pellets on the survivors and they are still alive. I grew these from seeds I got from a supermarket strawberry.

Recently, I took a chance and gave them the master blend at half strength and they liked it, so I conclude that master blend at full strength is too strong for strawberry plants.

I am going to save the seeds from my first big strawberry and start a new batch. Maybe the seedling will adapt to my growing environment and be more resilient.

The only type of strawberries plants my local nursery sell are the small fruited seascape variety.
