Chicks arent roosting?

i have a roosting pole in my coop 2-3 ft high and ive seen them fly up there but they don't roost.  they are almost 8 weeks

They will when they're ready; they're still youngsters.  Just don't let them sleep in the nest boxes.  Lots of folks have to block them off when the chicks are that young so they learn that's not a place to sleep.

i was afraid of them sleeping in the nest boxes, so i put chicken wire on those  for now.  they work well for storing food until there ready to lay! thank you for the infobig_smile.png
