Hello, everyone!

 

I'm Christy. I live on a farm in central Illinois with my husband, three kids (all grade-school-aged) and a few pets. We have a small dog, four cats, a parakeet and some fish. My husband also keeps a dozen or so cows. The parakeet is the closest thing I've ever had to a chicken. But the kids and I are interested in getting a few laying hens, so I started with some research. Google led me here. I don't have any specific questions just yet, although I'm sure I'll think of some as I read!
