Egg is stuck on

There is some egg shell stuck on the back of one the recently hatch chicks. Its dried on, i was not home to tend to it early enough  Should i remove it or let nature take its course.

I just pick it off once I put them in the brooder, but I don't open the incubator to take it off if the other eggs aren't hatched yet. and sometimes the other chicks peck it off.

You can wet it a bit with warm water to loosen it up. Then wipe it off later.

its been on for over a day i dont know if warm water will take it off. im thinking of leaving it on for fear of hurting the chick

Then maybe you should just keep wetting it, so it'll soften up. I think the other chicks's get curious and peck it...
