Hello from Ohio! Thinkin' 'bout Chickens...

Thread Starter

Hi!  I found this great website while researching backyard chicken raising.  My DH and I are thinking about doing this.  We live in a semi-rural township that has small fruit/veggie stands, orchards, and free-ranging chickens.  We have a farm house on the lake that came with a two-stall pole barn.  We don't have horses (previous owner had one). Our barn is fenced in within a good-sized area for chickens to roam.  I'm thinking of converting one of the stalls and using the already fenced-in area for ranging.  I have some questions about that, so I will post some pics in the design/construction forum.

Thanks for the great info already!  Bookmarking it now! big_smile.png

Hello from another Ohioan! :)

Mom to one rambunctious 4-year-old, and the one who brings the food to my "blended family" of several coturnix and a silkie hen. (Flock? Covey? Flovey?) Proud chicken momma of 2 easter eggers, 2 speckled sussex, and 2 silver cuckoo marans, and beginning the adventure of hatching coturnix eggs.
