I'm seeing all cockerels. The only one that I'm not sure of is the very light splash that you can never get a good view of in any of the photos.

In that case, I would have to say that all of the ones we can see the comb clearly are most likely to be boys, since that is too much red in the comb for girls of that age.  We can't see the lightest one in any of the pics so its possible that one could be a girl.

 

The hackle feathers are the feathers around the neck.  In boys, these will start to develop as narrow and pointy, while in girls they will be round.  The saddle feathers are those at the end of the back, before the tail.  In boys those will also get point and will start to hang towards the ground, while in girls they will be rounded and will point towards the tail.  These changes will start to occur when they are "teenagers".

Being a new mom of 20 chicks, I am glad to have this information explained; Thank you HEChicken!! My babies are about 4 weeks now and I can pick out a few that seem to stand tall and I suspect they are the roos. BTW, the3ofus+oursixchicks your chickies are very beautiful! Thanks for a great thread everyone!

i am sure she is a hen thats why i wasnt trying to get her good. thanks i think they are beauties too :))))
