I like his type but with more feathers on the legs and feet. Hoping to lose the 5 toes though.

you will need silkies for sure for the black skin. 

 

now some questions...do you want the 5 toes? do you want a beard? a crest?  breeds that you can use for rosecombs are d'anvers, sebrights, rosecomb, bantam wyandottes...unfortunately there are no rosecomb breeds with feathered legs (but I'm sure you already know that ) so you are also introducing the feathered legs 

Wow, such Beautiful Birds here! Although I want to breed some pure bloods, letting some mixed breeds slip in there will be just plain fun!

This is one of my two WCB polishxBR mixed pullets.  They were a total accident, but they shine green in the sun.  Waiting on them to lay.  They have grey legs and virtually no comb.  Face and combs were black until just a few weeks ago.

ThiefPouter06 - Yeah, you can't quite see the wry tail in that picture. From above you can see whole spine actually bends outward to the left, then back, so his tail is straight when he's still like that, but when he runs it bends right over to the right. Doesn't seem to bother him, though.

Your right, I hadn't noticed it but the tail does look a little serama the way he carries it. Very upright and proud :-) As far as I know, there's no serama in his mother's mix, perhaps there was some in a previous generation! The mystery of the mixed breed lol

 

 My mixed bantam rooster is rosecombed(carrying straight) and heterozygous for feathered feet.  I believe he is a blend of silkie and sebright and cochin. He is throwing BBR, Birchen and laced chicks. Some are black skinned (not full black like silkie).

Most of my chickens are mixes. I was sold a pair originally that people claimed were bantam barred rocks (zero chicken experience on my part when I got them. I only paid $2 for the pair). Well they are definitely mixes. The hen looks like a blue barred rock but she has short legs and she is quite wide. My roo however looks quite different. When I got him he had a typical barred pattern but as he got older it changed. I love them both to death and the hen is not only a good layer but she is a wonderful mother too. She goes broody about twice a year. Last year she hatched two clutches. The first one only had one chick that both she and my OEG hen raised, the second she hatched twelve! Raised them all too for the most part. She not the friendliest bird but her babies are sweet and my roo is a very good boy. He's never tried to attack or anything.

 

Here is my original pair the hen I named 7Up and my roo's name is Dr. Pepper.

 

The baby from the first clutch, she's out of my OEG hen and Dr. P we call her Twist.

 

 

I love the weird colors you get out of mixes. You never know quite what you are gonna get. XD

might want to think about getting some more so you can out cross and not do a lot of inbreeding/back breeding to prevent any abnormalities from showing up such is infertile babies. messed up tails, ect 

 

i would pair up a rose combed breed with a silkie and do a test breeding to see what came out of the breeding and then decide from there which ones you want to use (could also throw any pullets in with him and see what comes out of that breeding and if you get any with silkie feathering then you will know for sure that he has silkie in him as well, could also breed him to a silkie to test that out to)
