How and when should I integrate a new Mom and her chick to the rest of the flock? - Page 2

Oh yea, one other thing.  Sal is a very proud Daddy.  It's very sweet to see the whole family together, although at first Goldie had to let Sal know who is boss!  He did his little "chicken dance" around her and she didn't like that one bit.  She squared off with him and he backed down.  Very funny.  Even in the animal kingdom the woman "wears the pants"!  LOL!

1 Broody OEGB (Goldie), 1 OEGB Rooster (Sal), 1 OEGB Cockerel (Nugget), 2 Buff Orpingtons (Hope & Faith), 1 White Bantam Cochin (Lucy), 1 Red Bantam Frizzle (Ethel), 4 Red Stars (Lil Mama, Wilma & Betty and Pebbles).  2 Dachsunds (Tootsie & Baby), 1 Pug (Chubaca) and 1 German Shepard/Lab mix (Charlie). 1 Quarter Horse (Dancer) and 1 Paint (Star).  Oh and I have 3 adult children.

Thank you everyone for your support.  I couldn't have done it without you all!

you gave me courage I have 2 hens with chicks in a separate pen.  I think I will be intergrating them soon

Good luck to you.  Goldie and Nugget are still sleeping in their own separate coop.  I'll continue watching everyone while they are out.  It certainly makes for very interesting "chicken TV"!  Oh, I checked on everyone tonight after they were all settled in and Goldie and Nugget are on a roost together for the first night. So sweet to see him peeking out from under Mom's breast. Very sweet pic.  I'll download it for everyone tomorrow.  Soooo cute.

Not a great pic, but cute non the less!  They weren't very happy about me disturbing them as you can see!
