Thank you sumi! I don't think we'd have made it this far, and still maintain a relative amount of sanity, without your help! yesss.gif

"Why yes, I was raised in a barn."

1 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 2 Naked Necks, 1 Cochin, 1 Easter Egger, 7 barnyard bantams, 3 Rouens, Pheobe the Aussie, Wally - Nermal - Bea - and Sassy the cats....and now a whole 'herd' of new chickens: chantaclers, orloffs, wyandottes, rocks, sussex, new hamps, and brahmas, along with Pippen and Squeak the button quails.

Another chipmunk hatched! pop.gif When everyone has hatched and dried, I'll get some better pictures. I did stick my hand up to the first chick who is almost dry and she jumped right up in it! love.gif

Oh, cute!!! I love it when they do that. They just love attention for the first day or 2. Every time I pick up a brand new chick and it looks at me and cheeps and looks so happy to see me, I remember why I'm so chicken crazy! And when they crawl into my hand and won't get off... love.gif I'll check in again later or tomorrow. Can't wait to see what the rest of them's going to look like. Enjoy!

Oh, almost forgot. Well done, Ida! thumbsup.gif

Congratulations! yippiechickie.gif

I love the chipmunk look of the little EEs.... They are so adorable and curious and healthy... I have a couple more days before Princess (my EE broody) hatches her batch.. unfortunately, non under her are hers. She doesn't lay well/consistently and I had all her eggs from the 2 weeks before in the bator already when she decided to go broody.

My goal.....a Rainbow Egg Basket and a small sustainable living farm.

The two that have hatched are already very adventurous! They get out from under Ida and walk around, pecking at the hay and Mom's feathers. There's one that is trying to zip out still and I'm hoping some of the others will still hatch.

I'm already wondering what they will look like once they grow up!

Thank you Soap Junkie. The results are definitely worth the craziness. Now if I could just get Ida's diarrhea under control....the drama never ends here! sickbyc.gif

Oh, and chick # 3 has arrived with # 4 right on her heels!
