One of my girls got herself hung up in wire fencing and managed to break a toe while hung up. The break is very close to the webbed part of the foot. She is resting well, eating fine. She's keeping the toe straight. I'm trying to decide whether to try a splint or just let it heal crooked. Trying to avoid more trauma, pretty sure it will heal looking just about the way it is now. Anybody dealt with this?

If you can splint it then try. You want that toe to heal as straight as possible otherwise you will be dealing with bumblefoot down the line when she is walking incorrectly on a crooked toe. If the toe seems to be straight without the splint, then let it go. If she is too flighty to lay hands on, then the toe is likely going to be fine either way. I just like to do preventative measures as much as possible. A crooked toe is not a big deal, but it leaves them open to long-term complications- potential roosting problems, bumblefoot, future fractures, etc.
