Hello everybody!

I'm a new 4-H member this year and on April 26th got my first chicks! 3 of them are buff orpingtons and 1 is an araucana.  So far we're raising them at home, but eventually they'll go back to the farm because my county isn't zoned for chickens he.gif

The buffs are: Icarus, Minnie, and Angel, and the araucana is Prometheus!

I can't wait till the fall when they'll be laying eggs and I'll be able to show them (I'm sure Prometheus will do great, she's stunning) and I think I'll have a feeeew questions then for you guys...it's great to find a community like this!

I'll stop jabbering away now, and I'll try to get some pics up soon!

Chickens are so fun :D Will you hatch any chicks yourself in the future do you think?

Thanks everybody!

I'm actually thinking about trying to breed one of my chickens when they're old enough...my club has an incubator that i can use smile.png ...we'll see, I've still got a lot to learn!
