Hi all, I ran into a roadblock on my way to chicks; the landlord is absolutely dead set against having a heat lamp plugged in anywhere in or near the houses. If I scratch the chick idea and get young pullets instead, what are my chances of having the pullets turn out to be friendly family birds my 17 month old daughter can interact with?
He did suggest placing them in the coop I just brought home, but that just came from a friend's fence line, and it is nowhere near ready for anything domesticated to live in it. I know that if I go the pullet route, I have to get the coop in shape fast, but any ideas on this would be appreciated!
