This is the first time Ive done this so just went by Internet pictures. Tonight I'll do it again with a proper candler instead of a torch

1 apricot call drake

1 chocolate bibbed

1 magpie duck

1 chocolate call duck

1 bibbed call drakes

1 call duck (colour unknown)

6 various dutch bantams

5 welsummers

3 mottled pekin bantams

yea they do look further along than 16 days i would have to agree with that but i have had rotten eggs and i could still see through the entire egg as i turned it and the junk (bacteria) moved around the egg. idk what day mine is on i would have to check but i do know lockdown for me is next week and i only have one egg left

I hope they arent all dead :/ she did stay on the eggs for small periods of time before sitting permanently, could this have contributed?

Maybe, but she was probably laying more eggs, or preventing them form getting too cold

Just candled them again with a proper candler and 2 out of 10 are definitely dead. One died early on and the other was just like you'd buy from a shop but 8 are definitely fertile as veins are visible so  quite happy with that!

Well i got 2 but one was a bit off and had off legs and unfortunately it died after a few days but the fierst one grew up big and strong and is now outside happy with the other ducks :)

Good for you! It must be so rewarding hatching and watching the growth of your own ducklings, I can't wait until my girls have little peepers.
