The ducklings will be a week old on the 13th.

I would say give it a try. My 2 ChineseXEmden ganders adopted chicks and still cared for them until they were grown and then I got them some African goslings. They love the babies and geese are so family oriented that I see no reason why ducklings wouldn't work. The way geese act always amazes me........Pop

You certainly have the room: That is a very nice barn.

Oh, and Rudy and his sister are super cute!

Well....DH vetoed it.  Sigh.  I guess I have all winter to work on him, though!  thumbsup.gif

Thanks, 1Mrs!  I sure love both of these dogs.  They grew on me in a big way!  big_smile.png

How did it go?  Did you put the ducklings in with your ganders?  If so, I hope it went well!  fl.gif

Well Wynette, I did put the ducklings in with the geese and 5 other ducks and they all hissed and chased them all over the place so I caught them all and put them in the brooder in the barn. It was starting to get chilli outside and didn't wand to risk getting the ducklings too chilled. They went straight to the warming light, feed, and drank then tool a nap. They are all nice and cozy so I would call this one a flop. I tried anyway.

Well, don't give up - maybe they just need a bit more maturing time?  I'm sorry.  hugs.gif
