THanks so much everyone! He was up half the night crying but the fever broke and he slept in his own bed for the second half of the night. His mouth is still in pain but he will drink water and had some plain scrambled eggs this morning. He's my toughest kid so far and while I imagine the pain is still pretty bad, hunger still won :)  DD also didn't get any worse and just had the fever (she's still a little warm) with maybe 3 spots in her mouth that are painful. Poor DS, it's the entire roof and sides of his mouth that are blistered! So now we're working on keeping them hydrated and happy (lots of Netflix shows, which are rare for them!)

Glad to know about the herbal remedies HeatherLynn. I need to get out my book "Naturally Healthy Babies and Children" and stock the cupboard with that stuff again! I often forget to have stuff on hand because we simply don't get sick that often.

A little hint on the stocking the cupboard. Check out swansons online. I get the same elderberry lozenges and liquid that I get from whole foods from swansons and its about half price. I keep it on hand though because the stuff is awesome. We even get around someone else who is sick i give everyone a lozenge to suck on "just in case".  When we get really really sick its usually because my cupboard is empty and I forgot to order.
