My first peachick ever!!!  India Blue waiting for me in the 'bator when I got home from work yesterday.  By 2 AM all six had hatched.  Two chicks had splayed legs which had to be tied with yarn.  One has corrected already.

Uh-oh.  My picture didn't work.  Will have to fiddle around a bit more.

Thanks!

Can I jump in here even though I didn't participate in any actual hatching?

I'm just very excited that our free-range peahen, Mom (we just call her Mom because she's the mother of a lot of the peas here) has just showed up with three little ones!

I have been anxiously waiting for this since she disappeared onto her nest!wee.gif

I will try to get pictures.

Unfortunately, as many of you know, the danger of free-ranging is that those three might not make it through the next few days...

They are so cute but Mom doesn't want me to get too close.

This is the best I can do so far...I'll have to wait for another opportunity...
