Noticed Dottie hadnt came to greet me for a couple of days, honestly spooked me & I spent an hour  searching my yard calling her  only to finally  find her safe & sound & quiet peeved to be disturbed in the nesting box.  She's no longer my sweet little gal & she  tucked a few more eggs under herself today. Not exactly sure how many she has under her now but I know its over a dozen.   I'm so excited!!  Its my 1st time hatching. I'll be busy the next week setting up a nice nursery for her & moving the rest of the flock to the other side of the barn.   I can't wait to see all the babies.

Mark the eggs so that you can differentiate them from others that may be added to the clutch by your other hens.

Hate to report that something stole poor Dottie's eggs :(    Not sure what happened. Out of 22 eggs I only found 6 empty shells the rest were completely vanished.

Poor girls has moved to another nest & is sitting on them. I'm not sure if they're fertile or not but right now I dont have the heart to take them from her.  This whole situation has me heart broken.
