Whoa, that's a lot of garlic.  I didn't plant any this past winter, but I did have some plants pop up on their own from a head I missed.

Breeding Welsummers and Barnevelders.

Having an Icelandic in the coop is like having a 2 year old in the house - they are into everything and don't follow the rules.

I have zero chicken willpower.

That is a bunch of garlic indeed! I grow enough to use for canning my dill pickles.
I've got Bielefelders, Rhodebars, Cream Legbars, Black Sex Links, Buff Orpingtons, and a lone Light Sussex rooster (packing peanut from greenfire).

I love Garlic!  droolin.gif  Planted some this year, but the chickens destroyed about 1/4 of it scratching through the soft soil.  Your Garlic looks great, nice weed free garden!  thumbsup.gif

Just pulled the garlic here and it is laying on a wire shelf to dry and cure.

Pull your garlic when the leaves are dry and the stalk is no longer green.  The scape will have "seed" bulblets you can plant.

I pulled mine WAY to soon. . . . .hit.gifThe leaves had died back, but the stalk was still green. the top had a big round ball of seeds(?)  But when I pulled it, it looked like there was only one clove grown.   Sad day. this was my only garlic, it popped up on its own.
